Going Home Temporarily

Jan 30th to Feb 16th.

Purpose1, to submit a paper to univ for extending the duration of absence.
Purpose2, to build cooperation with potential partners.
Purpose3, to get wested with dirty fellows and my missing liquids.

Speaking about the purpose 2, I know this stay will be one of my high light of internship. I am going to visit around 20 travel agencies and try to make new partnerships by explaining the sales point of our company and how attractive and hopeful Hungary is as a trip destination for everyone. For instance, not less people take it regarded that winter is not the right timing for travelers. There are several big events, however, like ball or Christmas market, and Winter is best for taking pictures toward nature. Introducing this kind of unknown aspect of Hungary, I am obligated to convince persons in charge.

I spent almost all last 2 month as preparation for this chance. My company already gave me not less amount of money as a expenditure for 2 weeks. If I could not make it, having already started to feel guilty for receiving my share, even worse the conscience would go. I have to go for it. That's the way to reward to people who has supported me.

Already 8 month have passed since I started working here. 3 days to the flight, now I am having most "getting excited" times.

Slovenia and Italy

I never go for traveling without taking pictures.

Some people do hate to be caught in photos saying like "enjoying present moment comes first, not saving memories", but I hardly believe that. Pictures make it easy to remember the memories, and more importantly, sharing funny moment with friends makes us happier than simply enjoying sightseeing alone. Pictures, memories, ideas, different cultures, beers, mangas, stuffed cabbage etc....Whatever, it's always more fun to share with everyone.

3 month ago i bought a new camera, very good quality of Cyber Shot. 8 mega pixel in smaller than palm size. Sony released my problem of grasping the atmosphere when I focus on a object in dark or warm place, especially when i wonder whether flash should be required or not. Using it, the pictures never goes too dark nor too brightened. I was really feeling good by seeing fine, good-mood, exquisite shots which my dude Sony gave me.

Among Christmas holidays, Me and a Japanese friend of mine went to Ljubljana, lake Bred, Venice, Milan, and Torino. I pressed the shutter toward breathtaking views or buildings. On new year's eve, I came back to Budapest to get in a New Year's party (on top is from the party). After enjoying house party, we climbed up Buda castle to see fireworks. There, I lost my dude. I lost my cyber shot somewhere in the castle, with 400 pictures in Slovenia and in Italy. This was, how I started brand new year.

Then here, so as to prove how boring to introduce my journey, so as to get convinced those who think taking pictures just as waste of time, comes the list which I did. I am really happy if you would get to spend more time to take pictures.

Well, NO. I have changed my mind. Enjoy pictures which i downloaded through website surfing.

Ljubljana
-paid 50 EURO for the ticket to Ljubljana, for both way
-Ljubljana is beautiful city, though half a day is completely enough to cover the main areas
-danced in Latvian, Hungarian, and Alaskan style with Slovenian music
-tasty fried squid goes with beer so well
-Dragon, usually regarded as enemy among European people, is however the symbol of Ljubljana. Dragon is thought as a sacred animal in East Asian countries as you can see the pictures in Chinese restaurant. But you know how can you tell the difference between Japanese and Chinese dragon? It often happens that Chinese dragon has 5 fingers and Japanese dragon has 3 fingers. Interestingly, paintings of dragons in SHURI-CASTEL, the castel used to be a palace of Ryukyu empire (the islands nowadays regarded as Okinawa prefecture of Japan and located just in the middle of China and Japan) is described with 4 fingers. That well represents once Ryukyu island was flourished for trading before Japanese Meiji government conquered. Then, how many fingers does the dragon of Ljubljana have? It has 3, the same number which Dragon in Japan has.

Lake Bred
-Lake Bred is more the place to visit rather than the capital
-Paid 10 Euro to reach the island in freezing weather
-a Japanese Speaking interpreter suddenly started to talk with us and let us know that Becky (Japanese TV performer) and film director Izutsu are supposed to come to the island 3 days after we visited
-the guy is named Dragan, and also said he is a frend of Dragan Stojković
-If you head for Slovenia, call me since i stayed the best hostel ever

Venice
-Venice requires at least 2 days
-saw the "Last supper" draw not by Leonardo da Vinci
-saw the "Pieta" made not by Michelangelo
-I should have not bought anything, one of the most expensive city in this entire world. Seeing around is completely enough
-beyond any description, different from any other city. just perfect as a city
-no taxi, no bus, no motor bike, no garbage truck. it just has boats.
-do not forget to come with your sweethearts, otherwise you would feel miserable.

Milan
-"bar" does not always mean places to have a drink. it sells chocolates, breads, lotteries, and even transportation tickets,
-When i visited the restaurant, one Italian guys approached me saying "NANIWO NOMU ?(what do you take for a drink in JPN)". He's young guy named Marco said once he'd stayed in Takadanobaba working at a night club in Roppongi as a body guard. We enjoyed talking so much about a lot of stuff. The master of the restaurant, staffs and random customers, we all just get together and talked a lot. Unfortunately this was the only chance in Italy to get to know with local people, but thanks to him I was so informed about the city, about how they think about Milan. Seriously i did not need to bring any guide book since they pointed out several funny spots.
Marco cannot speak Japanese, but only know some words which he used in the night club. According to him, Italians goes every country as long as there are beautiful ladies, and he also told me that one of his lifetime to-do list is to have a family in Italy and to visit Japan frequently by himself, all alone. He never take his future wife with him when he goes to Japan, he said.
-was declined to visit inside the museum which has "Last Supper" by Leonardo da Vinci. Reception said everyone should make a reservation 3 weeks in advance. I really hate the idea. Who owns the human kind's treasure in such a terrible way?
-Paid 12.5 EUR and participated 30-minutes-long inside guiding tour of San-Siro stadium, the home ground of AC Milan and Inter Milan. Saw the trophies of champion league or Toyota cup. Got inside of both team's changing room(Really high tech, brilliant, totally clean, no bad smell). Seated the bench of Paulo Maldini, the god of Italian football world and took a picture(it is really shame that i lost my camera at this point). Also seated, sniffed, gently touched the benches of other super stars like Ronaldinho, Kaka, Seedorf, Gattuso etc....

Torino
-honestly speaking, really feeling bored in Mialno so changed my mind to visit Torino.
-Extremely cold.
-half day is enough.
-Relatively small city, and compact. I just imagine how many beautiful cities like Torino are in Italy, and perfectly realized that it is just impossible to cover whole fine cities in Europe. No one can do that as long as they got to a backpacker in their whole life or something.
-had 6th pizza in Italy.

Holding the cans out of the window for 3 minutes. This is how we made the beer cooler in a train.
